Super Street magazine recently reported on the super tuner slugfest in Las Vegas. The event included drag racing veterans, a “Battle of the Imports”, and drift phenoms from the Formula D camp. Of special interest to us, drift teams came from as far as Australia, New Zealand and Japan to compete. Making the news even better: "little engine that could" AE86 that claimed the victory. Beau Yates (Toyota Racing Developments AE86) won the season finale at the Toyo Tires Drift Australia Series at Oran Park Raceway, with second place enough for Leighton Fine (Commercial Truck Sales Nissan 180SX) to secure his first championship.
